major recap time

....so i've been on a much needed break from this thing...

and the recap goes something like this...
work...work...work...
in-laws here...forever...
work...work...work..
christmas came and went...
work...work..work.
a new year...crazy warm dry winter..
work..work..
a quickie but much needed long weekend skiing..
work...
spring...it's hot then it's cold...
it's yes...then it's no...
kiddies in the big d for some quality grandparent time..
thanks mom & dad..xoxo...
work...work...work...
rain..sleet..ice..snow..repeat...
i wanted to go into hibernation except for...
work..work..work...

i did manage to get lots organized...

and every single one of my layouts in an album...

and start a new collection...
cause i need another one like a hole in my head...

and work on a few sewing projects...
like adjusting the size of this swimsuit bottom..

and clean out stuff that i've been hanging on to forever..

and the prettiest thing of all...
i saw this somewhere and thought it was brilliant...
and it holds incredible amounts of ribbon...
like way more than unspooling and cramming it in a jar...

and sadly...i haven't scrapped one second in the last four months
so now you are caught...
what have you been up to?

Tis the season to be jolly

I know I haven't posted in forever, so if anyone is still reading this blog thank you! &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts &hearts

It's that busy busy time of year and once again I am thankful that I am no longer working in retail. (That goes for you too mom.) For the first time in forever I actually got to spend some "me" time today and created a few things with absolutely no pressure. I know I don't have to tell you how good it felt. *Note to self: do this more often*

I've gotta get packing for a road trip to the big D tomorrow. Parental time + lots and lots of shopping are on my agenda this weekend. Plus I think I might eat good sushi a few dozen times this weekend too. I can't wait! I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! :D Yippieeee!

Again, if anyone is still tuning in here, I appreciate it more than you know. I'll leave you with my Story Kit projects for December. I truly hope y'all have the merriest Christmas and happiest New Year! Be safe with your travels, enjoy time with loved ones and remember to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.

XOXO Sally

( I actually stitched this layout with my scanner..it was my first time. It's so easy..I had no idea...*Note to self: do this more often*)

i've re-entered the rat race.
it's a challenging new adventure.

gone are the days of mommy play time.
i promise i'll post more as soon as the routine kicks in.
thanks for checking in on me.
some october story kits layouts/scrapjack.
my apologies, but i had to pull a two-fer.

story kit

just a quick post to share my projects for september.

don't you love it when you find something that you had squirreled away in a drawer? it's like shopping in your own house. i found the metal frog that's seen in every picture above and had one of those happy moments. score one for me.

i'm off to enjoy the rest of the weekend and help someone with her volleyball serve.
hope you have a great day.
