I should be packing and getting things ready for our trip, but I just had to do this weeks darejack. It was an easy one to jack this week and I loved Nisa Finn's layout about corsets.....so along those same lines and the fact that I have tons of antique costume jewelry, here is some glam for ya, 1920's style.

Happy dance

It's friday, friday whoo whoo!!
A little r & r on the patio was planned, but since it's raining, and I am most definitely not complaining about that, it looks like plan b. Plan b, the permanent plan, is hanging out in the basement family style. Playing games, watching movies and eating popcorn. Fun times for sure!

Three colors and a lone star

This weeks darejack. I'm offically 3/4 of the way through with them for August and they have been a blast!

We are in full school mode. Getting up an 6:30 am is kinda hard for some of us. I'm refering to the one who has football practice for two hours on monday, tuesday, thursday and saturday morning.It's wearing out T man. And his momma.

Cheerleading starts today! H will cheer for her brother's football team.

My life is kinda boring right now. I've got to get back into the swing of things.
I'm thinking this will happen AFTER my mini vacation to the beach. Only Eight more days til we leave.

Today was the first day of school.

I wasn't the only one excited.
The T man started middle school.
He loved it and I knew he would.
Little miss thing rules the school.
Oh to be in fifth grade again!

I can't possibly be old enough to be the momma of a fifth & sixth grader.
They must have accelerated in age somehow.
All of y'all with wee ones need to enjoy them while they're young.
They grow up WAY to fast.

Back from a 10-day mini vacation in Texas.
The kiddos visited one of their other sets of grandparents
while I hung out with the parentals
cleaning out tons of crap-age.
Good times
and hotter than h-e-double-hockey-sticks.
For real.
Like one hundo's.
Even the pool was hot.
We returned home to the same
but the pool is hotter
like way, way warmer than bath H2O.
Can't wait for this month's electric bill.
