it's beginning to look a lot like...

someone needs a new camera. mine won't take a clear shot in macro anymore and it hasn't been dropped..much, and it's really irritating me today, especially because my head is aching. grrrrrr.

ah well...i've got one big tree up so far and one more to go.this is my first year with a fake tree. i got it 90% off last january and even though i have always been a real tree kinda girl, i think it looks pretty decent for $15. we do have a real tree in the family room and while i'd like to go ahead and decorate it today, unfortunately it is not my year to do lights...hehehe. i think i'll let my kiddos help put ornaments on after their dad lights it. good bonding time.


we had a fantastic thanksgiving in dallas with the family.
lots of good food.
lots of good shopping.
lots of good times.

now back to decking the halls. break's over.
i've gotta finish today and clean tomorrow.
tis the season to host the company christmas party here on saturday.

sneak peak

i love this sneak peak of the december story of my life kit. sara puts together such amazing things. love elsie, ki lace cardstock, american crafts, yummy ribbons and lace, sara's stamps, teal colored tulle and hand-painted russian beads. wow. this looks like it could be my favorite kit. again.


here is my last scrapper standing final round entry. lots of tough competition this round. i'm not sure when the winner will be announced. oh and i used my grandfather's typewriter that he used in college on this. i was pleasantly surprized the it still worked and had a little ink left. it has seen better days.

cleaning can be fun

no pictures of my desk yet, it's still a mess, but soon though.
i finally decided to hang up some layouts, clothesline style. i love looking at them this way.


it's no secret that i love the ocean. just a few reminders lying around. i'm still trying to figure out a fun way to display my sea glass. suggestions would be appreciated.



i love old type trays and old type. these vintage buttons have been with me for about 14 years now. i still have tons more to clean and add to these. i consider these little mini works of art.

i've been texturizing and priming my dining room. today i'm hoping to finish the base coats of paint and then i'll glaze it tomorrow. i'll post pics of before and after when it's finished. i hope y'all have a great day.

happy day after halloween

there's nothing deader than the day after a holiday. especially this particular holiday. no pun intended, but you must admit it was a good one. it's been another crazy week and now we are in another month. didn't october just begin??
