HOT as in 99-101 degrees for a week straight.
HOT as in even the swimming pool is HOT and not much relief.
thank goodness for the snow-cone shack.
and fresh fruit.
and home-grown tomatoes.
and blueberry cobbler.
and sweet corn on the cob.
and wouldn't it be fun to have a picnic and eat off of these plates?
though not right now, because it's HOT even in the shade.
these are from room service home. check them out. and bring your wallet.

or how about these totally impractical but oh-so-fun 12 days of Christmas plates, for december dining of course, but i'm willing to use them now if they'll cool me off. also from r.s.h.

and i love love this pillow. also from, yep, you guessed it, r.s.h.

and last, but not least, from r.s.h.: wood grain + birds = swoon.

here's what i made for the project runway contest going on over at sis. we had to use two items from a list of household products and i chose coffee filters and drawer liner. i used glimmer mist on an unbleached coffee filter and did a little crumple action and then pulled out the liner from underneath my silverware, cut out a heart and then put that bad boy right back where i got it. this layout also contains wood grain paper from love, elsie, notebook paper which i printed a free graphic from hp on, xoxo ribbon from hallmark, scenic route labels and sewing courtesy of my handy-dandy sewing macnine.

and here is my latest scrapjack. lots of paint and ink layered on this one. that butterfly is another one of those free graphics from hp.

i hope everyone has a cool day and has the song "hot, hot, hot" by the cure stuck in your head like i do.
